Take the Chance and Live Your Dreams

Hey, I've got a secret.  If you want to live the life of your dreams . . . take a chance.  Seriously, when an opportunity comes to you, take the chance.  The worst that can happen to you is that you will be humiliated.  Okay.  You'll get over it.  Seriously, you will.

What you won't get over, is yourself on your death bed cursing yourself out because you never even tried to do the thing that makes your heart sing, that could have made you happy, that could have been your grandest adventure and your most wonderful dream.

Here is a motto, that you should live by.  A motto that you should tell your children, your neices and nephews or whatever little kid under 15 that you know.

"Always take your shot!"

Always, always take the opportunity.  The best side of taking opportunity . . . you will get to do something you have always wanted to do.  The thing that will make your life worth while.  Your grand adventure!  The worst side of taking your opportunity . . . you will fail, but you will learn something.

Saying yes to opportunity, even if you are afraid, is why every person is living, it is your purpose, it is the reason you are alive.  Never wait until you are not afraid anymore . . . in fact, do it because you are afraid.

Understand something, the most successful people are not the most talented, creative or intelligent people.  Read biography after biography and you will learn that tenacity, stubborn tenacity, is the key to success.  Having the focus, the discipline, the stubbornness to go after what you seek is the ingredient to success (more than talent or intelligence).

Get up and "do it!"

Do it now and keep on doing it, even after people tell you you are crazy to keep on going.  Don't give up.  Find your joy in doing the thing that you LOVE doing, despite what anyone else thinks, says or does.

Figure out what you need to do to live your dreams and take the first steps toward it.  Remember, if someone or "life" gives you an opportunity.  Take it!

Life is not a race, and I'm not a rat

I love playing games, you know, board games.  My cousin (from my husband's side) has this really fun game called Rat Race that she and many of my friends like to play. We will sit there and play for hours (one time we played for 8 hours straight!)

The concept of the game is that you take a little Rat Man Game Piece  and roll some dice and  try to get out of this small circular area of the board called the "Rat Race" or what everyday man calls: LIFE.  The goal is to move from the Rat Race into  your DREAMS which is a larger area of the board in the game. It can take hours for a player to get out of the little bitty circular space that is the Rat Race and move into the bigger expanse of the board.  Once in the bigger expanse of the board, the player makes loads and loads of money easily and the goal changes from gaining enough money to get out of the rat race into falling on the circumstances that allow you to obtain your dream.

I've played the game over and over again, trying to figure out what is the thing that holds me back in the real world of "gaining my dreams".  Why am I still in the rat race . . .

When it came to me.  I'm in the rat race because I'm identifying with the RAT!  And dog gone it, I'm not a rat.  What is stopping me from living my dreams, from having the type of wealth I want, the income I want, the life that I've always wanted?

This little psychological problem:  MY THINKING.

I'm at work.  Working my ass off.  Working hard, running back and forth, fixing problems, juggle impossible tasks, schedules and projects. I'm doing what seems like the impossible and then going home and nearly falling into bed in a near faint.  I'm working hard.  And because I'm working hard, doing things I hate doing, being in a place that I hate being, dealing with difficult people for the measly salary that I get . . . I think:

If I get $(insert yearly salary here) for doing all of this stuff I hate. . . then how much crap will I have to do/take to get $100,000 or $150,000 or $200,000 a year?

And that's the problem.  Our heads are still in the Rat Race!

Here's the facts people.  And I want you to read this real slow.  In fact,  I want you to read this every day until it gets into your thick skulls . . .

The amount of money you make does not mean your work gets harder, or you deal with more stuff, or you must work with even more difficult people.  The amount of money you make is the worth that you put on what you know. The amount of money you make actually becomes greater as more people know, understand and value the work you do.  That's it.  That's all.  Want to make more money?  Make sure more people know about the work you can do.

An example:
Let's say you are an Accountant by trade.  You can work for an accounting firm or for a company that needs accounting services (every large company needs accountants on staff).  You make an okay, five-figure income.  You work hard, but promotion, raises and bonuses are at the whim of your boss -- and it doesn't look like you'll getting any of those benefits soon.  What do you do if you want to become a six-figure earner?  Well, as an Accountant you probably have experience/knowledge of tax laws.  What can you do with this knowledge?

1.  You can begin a business on the side, helping small and new business clients complete their taxes.

[Good idea!  But this limits you to helping a hand-full of people.  There's just so much time in the day and you are only one person -- so only about a half dozen people can be helped using this method. Unless each of those half-a-dozen people are willing to pay you $16,000 a year for services rendered, this method may not be the best way to gain the six-figure salary you want.]

2. You can begin a business  teaching new business owners all about their taxes breaks.

[This is a much better idea because you can now expand your audience to a class room full of people -- around 30 or 40 individuals.  This has the potential for more money but you have to produce the class over and over again.  Marketing your class over and over and over again to make sure you get a classroom full of people. To gain a six-figure income, you would have to charge $112 each student, conduct the class 30 times in one year and each class would have to enroll a minimum of 30 students.]

3.  You can create a DVD teaching new business owners all about their taxes and breaks.

[Much better.  You can produce your class as stated in #2 above and have it filmed and create a DVD.  Continuously market this DVD and you can gain "passive income".  You produce the class once, and get paid every time someone orders your DVD!  The more people you market to, the more changes you can make money from your product without additional "work" -- are you starting to see what I mean about the more people who know about your work, the more potential money you can make?  If you sold your DVD for $129 you would only need to sell 775 DVDs in one year to become a six-figure earner.)

4.  You can create tele-seminars teaching new business owners all about their taxes and breaks.

[Tele-seminars are like #2 without limits.  You can have hundreds of people all around the world on one of your tele-seminars.  You can create a tele-seminar in your own time.  You can repeat the play of your tele-seminar if you find it wildly popular, with unlimited viewers.]

Notice that in many of these scenarios, you are not working harder.  You are doing the same things that you do daily.  The difference is you are serving more people and more people are valuing your services.  The goal is to maximize on the number of people that you can serve!

The amount of money you make actually becomes greater as more people know, understand and value the work you do.

So for many of us, our biggest obstacle to advancing our work, or growing our business, or asking for a raise or negotiating a salary, is that we truly think if we get more money, we'll have to do more work and as far as work goes we're already at our limit so . . . WRONG!  Stop thinking that way!

The amount of money you make actually becomes greater as more people know, understand and value the work you do.

The difference between you and a six-figure-income person is:

1.  A six-figure income earner markets their specialized skill or knowledge to large groups of people.  The more people who know what they do, the better.

2.  A six-figure income earner takes on more responsibility or what "looks like" more responsibility.  But in fact, they just take on the responsibility of their life, their career, their livelihood.  No one cares more about your prosperity and your money business than you.  Stop looking to your boss, colleagues or others to prove your value and your worth.

3.  A six-figure income earner already knows what they are worth and are willing to fight/negotiation for it.

4.  A six-figure income earner is willing to walk away from bad deals or create their own opportunities.

If you are not doing any of the four things above and you want to start being a six-figure income earner.  Then start doing those things today. The faster you starting doing these four things, the richer your bank account and your life will be.  Let's start now, after all, I've always wanted to have powerful and influential friends!
Until next time my lovelies.

Luxury Living: Rent a Mansion

OK, castles are for the old world countries.  They are big, and clunky, cold and damp, and ghosts actually live in them.  You are a modern type of guy or gal and would much rather enjoy luxuries that are slightly more cosmopolitan and modern, right?

You would rather live in a mansion.  Am I right?  You want to experience the high-life.  You want to have a maid, a chef, concierge services, a fleet of luxury vehicles (on water and land), limo service with a chauffeur and perhaps a butler.

There are many places the provide mansion rentals that offer first class services at reasonable prices. If you want to experience living in a mansion, you can do it a number of ways:

(1) Vacation in a mansion by renting out a room in a mansion.  There are many places that will rent out rooms in mansions for comparable or BETTER prices than a hotel!  The cool part of this is, you can enjoy all the amenities of a luxury mansion for a price of an over-night stay.  For example, the Mexico Mansion in Acapulco have very great room rates, because the location is in Mexico your dollars are stretched further (less than a luxury hotel stay), and you have a butler serving your drinks and good 24/7.  No closed kitchens! Cool huh?

(2) Renting a mansion with friends or in a group.  If you can get a group of people together to share costs, you can have the mansion all to yourself.  Let's just say you have a group of family and/or friends and you'd like to enjoy a long vacation with them -- say one month or maybe a whole summer.  You can rent a mansion (with full concierge services) that sleeps 30 people for $15,000 a month. Let me break it down for you, that's $500 per person per month!  And you are living like kings.

Here are the resources that will let you do that:

Luxury Rentals

Trip Advisor Vacation Rentals

International Property Listings

Mansion Minders

(3) Home tending or what I like to call MANSION SITTING, where a renter occupies a luxury home while it's on the market, keeping the property in excellent condition to show to buyers and helping make sure of the security of the home. It allows you to live in a mansion for the cost of a small apartment. It's a pretty good deal. Check out these resources:

Mansion Sitters

Luxury House Sitting

Trusted House Sitters

Contemporary Home Sitters

My Home Tender

(4)  Instead of applying to become employed by a home tending service, you can learn all there is to know about home tending (by doing some research on the internet on the topic) and set yourself up, in a small business type of way, as a Mansion Sitter Consultant or or an "Executive Home Manager."  Provide management services that keep the mansion looking pristine . . . set up your website and market yourself to Real Estate Agents.  You also may want to look in Craigslist in your area for "home tender" "home care taker" and "home sitter".

Okay, people now that I've told you how to do it, I'm ready for you to take on this adventure and tell me all about it!  I've always wanted to have powerful and influential friends that live in mansions.

Tele-jobs: QLess

QLess is a great little company that I predict is going to become huge because they believe that waiting in line sucks!  I agree.

What do they do about that?  Well they created this little system - a virtual line management system which  they call the world's first and only mobile queuing solution.  They are totally eliminating the need for waiting in line and waiting rooms.

So what do they do?  They create virtual, mobile lines!  Customers enter "the line" from the cell phones, and touch screen kiosk or the Web, or they can be added to a line by an administrator (a staff person).  This allows the customers to roam freely and do other stuff while they wait their turn.  QLess sends them a text or calls shortly before their turn!  Cool huh?

Currently, its a very small company (under 100 employees) located in Los Angeles.  But the great thing about them is they are growing!  And an even better attribute of this company . . . they believe in working for home!  Most of their job openings descriptions begin with the words . . . Work From Home or Bring Your Own Computer.

This company is going to blow up, get in from the ground floor on this one folks.  You won't be sorry!  Check out their open jobs here.

Are you finding yourself standing in line throughout the day?  Maybe you can convince the owner of the establishment to use QLess!  If you can convince the owner to use this system, you can get paid.

They have an affiliate program!  Visit the affiliate webpage at:
The affiliate fee is equal to 10% of gross revenue they collect from a qualified introduction to a new client.

I love this!

Luxury Living: Live In a Castle

Did you read fairy tales as a young child? Did you always dream of going into Cinderalla's castle at Disney World? Are you enthralled with "Game of Thrones" just because they get to live in castles? Do you watch the Wealth Channel? Do you remember Robin Leech's Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous?  Want to live like the "glamorous people" live, even for one day, a weekend or maybe a week and live in a castle or mansion?  You can do that, you know.

Don't believe me?  There are people who are just like you living the lifestyle of the "rich and famous" everyday.  You just have to expand your thinking a little.  That's what this website is for, to give you an idea of how to expand your thinking so you can live a different, adventurous and fulfilling life.

Today, you will learn how to live in a castle or mansion.  Yes, you may only get to live in a castle or mansion for a day but at least you can tell everyone that you lived in one, right?  So here's a few ways to make your dreams come true.

Rent a room in a castle:
If you have about $2,000US to spend, you can rent a really nice room for the weekend at several European castles and some really nice castles in the United States too! The cool thing about renting a room in a castle is the estate usually has EVERYTHING . . . servants, pool, gardens, golfing, etc.

Celtic Castles
Home Away (US and European Castles)
Castles in Tuscany
MacKenzie Castle in North Carolina

Follow your dreams in a group:
Okay, maybe you don't have $2,000US to spend on ONE weekend and you would like to find a more economic way to live in a castle . . . there is strength in numbers my friend.  Can't afford a castle on your own, then get your friends together.  Renting a castle is not that bad if you split the cost 7-20 ways.  You can end up paying only $80 - $200US per night using this method -- that's better than a hotel! And the cool part is you and your friends get the whole dang castle! Gather your friends together and decide to live in luxury by splitting the bill.  Many castles come with chef and food service and with staff.

Babysit the castle or mansion:

You can actually live in a castle if you take care of it.  The job is to report damage, vandalism and social misbehavior.  Looking after someone else's property may allow you to live almost rent free. Lots of people do it.

Make them "give" you the privilege

Give them a reason to give you a freebie! Do you travel alot?  Do you have a following of a few hundred people that love to hear about your escapades?  Create a following for yourself and you may find that people are willing to "give" you a few nights in their luxurious establishments. Here's how to do this!

How to Live a Luxurious Life for Less (article) from Expert Enough.

And if that's not enough, here is a website listing "official" castles by official caretakers of the castle.  Just so you kind find the right castle in the area of your choosing Great Castles Website.

See?  Stick with me kid and I'll have you living in castles!  Like royalty and such.  That's even better than being a millionaire, and you better send me pictures . . . after all, I've always wanted powerful and influential friends.

How They Do It (HTDI): Invent a Helpful Product - A Perfect Pocket!

Many of my followers are entrepreneurs, creators, inventors and business people that come up with the most ingenious stuff. I am so happy that I have these people in my life, because they show me the hundreds upon thousands of opportunities and ideas that creates the possibility to live out your dream!

I've decided to feature some of these people that are leaving their dream. Running their own business and living off the proceeds so you can realize that you can do the same thing!

Right now, I'm loving my Twitter follower @brakenhoff_lois (Lois Brakenhoff).  She and her friend of over 10 years have created a really great product called "A Perfect Pocket".  It's a pocket that you can adhere to your skin, it holds keys, money, ID . . . all the essentials you need!  Great when you are doing active things and don't have a pocket to hold your stuff.

I'm telling you, I'm ordering this item for holiday party season.  All the best and glamorous party dresses never have pockets and I love to dance (purses just don't work on the dance floor).

These ladies did their research to make this product perfect.

1.  First, they registered a patent for their idea because they didn't want anyone stealing it.  Remember, I always say your ideas are precious and you must protect them.  Don't believe me?  Read my article on protecting your ideas entitle:

2.  They researched hypoallergenic adhesives narrowing it down from 35 adhesives to 4 that work.  Tested it over and over again.  They key to success and making sure everything works.  Overkill, is not a word in your vocabulary when it comes to this.  Things working properly, in any circumstance and make and break your success.

3. Got a number of focus groups to play with the product and put it through it's paces.  Feedback is essential.  No one stumbles upon success in a vacuum or alone.  Remember that.

 4.  Then they searched out many manufacturers until they found someone who could make it exactly they way they envisioned it.

5.  They featured their products in "real world events" and developed press, video, articles, photos.

6.  They created a website that helps people understand their product and allow them to order from them.  Visit:

7.  They even created a value-add.  Companies, organizations, and events can print their logo or message on "A Perfect Pocket"!  Great idea.

I want you to know the steps that these inventors took, because you would have to do these steps as well if you invented something just as awesome and clever.  I bet you have something in mind that is just as awesome as this . . . right?  Well, what are you waiting for?  For someone else to come up with it and make a great living on your idea.

Get going!  Your ideas should make you rich. You know I'm always in need of powerful and influential friends.
